Top 10 Easy to Start Small Business ideas for Expatriates

March 19, 2017

Top 10 Easy to Start Small Business ideas for Expatriates

1. Teaching your native language

Teaching your native language (English, Dutch, Chinese, Spanish, French or any other) is one of the easiest ways to become self-employed as an expat. A smart idea is to choose a specific niche, such as teaching your language for business, personal tutoring, academic tutoring, etc.

A good way to start this business is to network with existing language schools; they may offer you a contract job to start with. However, keep in mind that teaching your native language in a foreign country would most likely require a recognized certification such as TOEFL or TESOL.

2. Translation services

If you can speak both your native language and that of your new country, you can make a lot of money working as a translator. You will find individual clients who have translation assignments to handle; and you will find businesses that need a translator to help them reach out to foreign prospects.

3. Import and export

If you have an established business in your homeland, you can consider establishing good import and export links with your new country. You can import the products offered by your business into your new country if they are in huge demand. However, bear in mind that the import or export business is a tough one. So, you should conduct thorough market analysis before venturing into it.

4. E-commerce

Location is no longer a barrier to buying and selling, thanks to the internet. Many people now prefer to buy products online due to the convenience and security this option offers. You can make a lot of money by setting up your own e-commerce store and offer products for sale.

You can start with a narrow range of products and then expand from there. Sourcing the products is now easier than ever, as you can buy from suppliers in Asia and sell to customers in Europe or America; all from the comfort of your room.

5. Virtual assistant

If you have some office administration or secretarial experience, then you should consider the booming virtual assistance industry. Many individuals and small businesses hire virtual assistants for a wide range of tasks such as data entry, document preparation, event planning, etc.

This saves them the cost of hiring an in-house employee. One good thing about virtual assistance is that the work is remote, and you can do it from the comfort of your room.

6. Photography

If you are a skilled photographer, you can make a lot of money from serving corporate clients, taking shots at weddings and other events, and taking shots of wildlife or travel. You can consider the growing micro-stock model if you are a prolific snapper. Also, you can teach others how to become a good photographer; if you are more of a people person.

7. Tea Cafe

Most foreigners adopt the option of running restaurants, cafes, and takeaways. This is often influenced by the cuisine for their homeland, and these outlets can attract hungry locals as well as other expats. Knowing what offers would sell in a place requires you to have spent some time studying the area and its people. So, keep this in mind if you think this business idea is for you.

8. Tour guide

Due to their native language ability, expats are often hired as tour guides. A smart way to take this a step further is to offer personalized tours to visitors from your homeland. Before taking a plunge, don’t forget to check if some licensing is required.

9. Life coach

If you have solid counseling qualification and skills and have had a successful career as a professional doctor, accountant, attorney, etc; then you can make extra money by starting a coaching business. Many people would pay you to give them professional advice that will help their career, businesses, and personal lives.

10. Other freelance services

If you have skills such as web design, writing, SEO, graphics design, and so on, you can make money by offering your services to individuals and businesses. Many small businesses now prefer the cheaper option of hiring freelance contractors to employing in-house staff.

7 Things You Need To Start Your Affiliate Business

February 6, 2013

To promote affiliate offers, you can set up a simple machine by using a simple 2 page website with an autoresponder.

Here’s what you’ll need:
1. A hosting account
2. A domain name
3. A text-editor or webpage editor
4. 2 very simple web pages
a. A “Squeeze” or “Opt-in” page
b. A “download page”
5. An autoresponder account
6. FTP software
7. The link to your affiliate offer

Lets look at each of these in a little more detail.

1. A Hosting Account

A hosting account is where you will store your web pages. There are literally hundreds of webhosting companies – from expensive, top-of-the-line to down-in-the dirt grungy. You don’t generally want down-in-the dirt grungy, but you don’t need to pay for top-of-the-line, either. Do some research and visit web hosting forums to see who’s offering the best deal right now.

2. The Domain Name

A Domain name provides your web pages with an address on the Internet. It’s what people type in to the address bar of their browser, and what is commonly known as a “URL” (Uniform Resource Locator) or “URI” (Uniform Resource Indicator).

Pick a domain name that will be relevant to your niche. Places like GoDaddy and Namecheap are excellent examples of reliable domain name registrars.

3. A Text Editor or Webpage (aka “HTML”) Editor
I highly recommend you download what’s called a “WYSIWYG” html editor (for “What You See Is What You Get”) which allows you to create web pages simply and easily – by adding formatting and font styles and the like. These editors allow you to build a web page visually, so you know exactly “What You Get”

4. Two Simple Webpages

The next step in this process is to create 2 simple web pages. The first is called a “Squeeze Page” or “Opt-In Page”

Squeeze Page (Name it index.html)

A squeeze page is simply an offer to exchange valuable information in trade for the user’s email address. Basically, you will take the “opt-in” form that you get from your autoresponder company (don’t worry, I’m going over this next) and create a page with a tantalizing offer – a report or a series of emails.

You want to offer something that will entice the people in the niche you are targeting to sign up.

Download Page (Name it download18972.html)

The second page you’ll need is called your “Download Page.” On your download page, you will have a link to your report (more on that in a second), as well as a link to the affiliate or CPA offer that you are promoting.

Note that the name I suggest is download18972.html – I just typed some random numbers. I do this so nobody can try to guess my download page very easily. Sometimes I use something like download_1234_4soieur.html or something equally crazy using letters, numbers, and _s only.

5. An Autoresponder Account

An autoresponder company is an email provider where people can sign up to email lists that you create. Once you have an account with one of these companies, you can then send out email to your members automatically on a periodic, scheduled basis. So you set it up once, and then keep profiting from it over and over ?

Here are a couple of popular Autoresponder providers:
1. GetResponse
2. Aweber

Basically, you can set up your account so when someone signs up for your email list, they get email #1 after signing up, email #2 a day or two later (whenever you’d like to schedule it), email #3.

It doesn’t matter when they sign up – the autoresponder company keeps track of what email to send each person, and when to send it – so you don’t have to!

6. Software for FTP

FTP stands for “File Transfer Protocol”. And that’s what this software does. It transfers files from your computer to your webhosting account. All it does is move files from one computer (yours) to the other (that of the webhosting company)

You’ll use one of these programs to transfer your squeeze page and download page to your server:

1. KompoZer — That’s right, the html editor mentioned above has ftp software.
2. FireFTP – This is an extension that is used with the Firefox Browser.

7. A Gift, A course or A Simple Report

As mentioned above, when you create your webpages, you want to have a report or a gift or an ecourse to offer to people to inspire them to sign up to your email list.

After you create your document, you will want to make sure it’s readable on all computers. The way to do that is to create a “pdf” document out of it.

You can use the pdf creation capability of OpenOffice, which will let you convert Word (.doc) or OpenOffice (.odt) documents into pdf files from directly within OpenOffice (using File->Export as PDF)

That’s it – with these seven simple steps you have everything you require to start generating sales commissions.

How To Run A Business Successfully From Home

July 13, 2012
How To Run A Business Successfully From Home

There are times when life can get in the way. Suddenly you may wind up unemployed after working steadily for years, leaving you in a quandary about what to do. Has working at home ever been appealing to you? The tips laid out in this article can help give you the start you need to running a successful home business.

While conducting business in comfortable clothes may be fun at first, you may find yourself missing the professional attire required at your previous job. Try to get out of the house during the week to personally stay in touch with others.

Whenever you are providing a service to others, be sure to draw up a contract. Contracts protect both parties should something go awry.

It is important to invest in some business cards. Business cards can be ordered very cheaply online. You should always include your vital contact information, like your name, the name of your business and your phone number. Be sure to include your email or website address. Doing so makes it much more simple for clients to contact you.

If you are selling a product that you make, be absolutely sure that you know how much it is costing you to create, because you do not want to be losing money. Wholesale prices are usually double the cost of production. If you are going to sell it at retail price, then multiply your wholesale price by two. Make your price-point something both you and your customers can live with.

Having the support of your loved ones is one of the best resources to have when starting a new business. Owning your home business can be stressful, and it can take up much of your time. It will not be as successful as you want it to be if your family is not supportive, or open to giving you private time to work.

If some people are still using old-fashioned checks to buy your products, deposit them immediately after receiving them. You should make your deposits daily, instead of weekly or monthly. You're less likely to lose a check if it is lying around for less time. Don't rely on ATM machines for your deposits. Putting your money directly into the hands of a teller will ensure that there are less chances for errors.

If you can, try and increase your income by establishing membership fees. Increasing profits through membership subscriptions to your site is a easy profit center.

Think about how much your products will cost. Keep track of your production costs when you decide on pricing for your products. The standard formula for pricing a certain item should be double the cost associated to it. This is the standard wholesale rate for most goods. In order to find out what the retail price is you should triple the wholesale price.

Use the internet to your advantage, and as a marketing tool. Design a professional site that is easily navigated, or hire a web designer to do it. Focus on creating site content that people love and offer them helpful features like online ordering. Make sure that satisfied customers have a way to keep in touch with your business. Do research and talk to design companies to gain knowledge on the best ways to create a great website.

Find other non-competitive home business owners and create an advertising co-op on your various websites. Sharing advertising space can increase traffic to all of the participating sites and increase their search engine rankings. You should ensure that your business's advertisements are appropriate, and that your potential customers understand what links they are clicking.

When you have a home business, you will surely experience a great deal of phone traffic. You should probably get an extra phone line or two. When you do not wish to receive calls, simply turn off that phone's ringer and let the call go to voicemail.

While reading this article, hopefully you were inspired to take your life into your own hands. You were given a lot of tips about starting a home business, and now is the time to grab the bull by the horns and go for it! You can keep this article for reference to read anytime you are not sure what the next step you should be taking is.

Are you at risk of retiring broke

July 13, 2012

Are you at risk of retiring broke

It is everyone’s hope and dream to retire happily after many years of toil and labor. As one utilizes his youthful time in employment and daily work, we hope to retire peacefully and stay comfortable there after Just like the newly married would wish to live happily there after forever. However, as in the case of the newly wed who soon realizes there are many pitfalls along the way that steal the joy of living happily forever, so is the same with a person who longs to retire wealthy and realizes there are many risks and challenges that may prevent him from achieving this dream.

Are you at risk of retiring broke? Probably your answer may be an obviously no! But have you sat down to consider a few things that probably are and will be your pitfall? The thought of retiring broke brings a chill to many as one pictures a poor old person begging  from relatives or his children after retiring broke.

In Bibi Apampa’s free downloadable book “Retire Rich Retire Happy” To avoid retiring broke, one must have a clear vision and a perspective towards life.  It is important to know where you are coming from, where you are and where you are going. Some people live a life of no goals or vision if they won a lottery, they would be confused about what to do with the huge cash. When one has a vision, he will grab the golden opportunity, plant-invest the seed in the right soil, cultivate and take great care of the seed, in return it will yield thousands and continue yielding even after retirement. You are at risk of retiring broke if you have a vision-less life without a purpose.

Living an exaggerated life and not saving will make you a perfect candidate for the broke retirees club. A stitch in time saves nine is a common saying that means if you stitch your garment before it tears completely, it will save you more. We can borrow a leaf from this and save whenever possible. Living an expensive, luxurious lifestyle without  saving is a pitfall. There is no one with too little to save. It is your lifestyle that dictates whether you will save or not.  Have a budget that you can live with and make sure to save at least 10 % of all your income towards retirement.

Avoid impulse buying, unnecessary spending and peer pressure. Remember you have a goal and a vision to accomplish; your retirement, and your motto is to retire rich wealthy and happy, not to retire broke.

Making many mistakes while investing and poor investment choices will not only make you retire broke but will also drain you emotionally with stress rated problems. You might be having the perfect goals, save meticulously but when you invest your savings in the wrong investment such as gambling, pyramid schemes and other dubious business, you would have built your castle in the air and you can surely come down crumbling. When you want to invest, always seek for financial advice and have a perfect plan like the Retire rich Retire Happy plan, understand investment basics and the risks involved. Avoid making many mistakes and learn from any that you have earlier made. You will retire rich, healthy wealthy and happy.

HOW TO BE A SMART EXPAT WIFE

July 7, 2012

HOW TO BE A SMART EXPAT WIFE

Basically an expat is a person who is voluntarily absent from his residence or home country. There could be many reasons behind it. Maybe your spouse might have gotten a new job abroad and you may feel the need to cement family ties. From afar it is usually viewed by many as a luxurious lifestyle that is admirable. The flights, hotels are what most wives wish. The move could be from a developed country to developed country: developed country to developing country. Developing country to developed country and developing country to developing country. Some of the developed countries are Canada Unites States of America, United Kingdom and developing countries include Haiti, Bolivia, Botswana just to mention but a few.

One factor that an expat wife should be well conversant with is the need to know a little bit about the host country before they set foot there. Challenges will emerge. To begin with there is the issue of language barrier. For instance a Russian who migrates to France may find it hard speak French, a Spanish to speak Buganda and so on. Culture shock should be factored in. For example the cuisine. There is nothing universally accepted as edible and traditions  meals are different world over. For instance the Chinese eat dogs, the Japanese have kangaroo sashimi which is kangaroo meat eaten raw while sliced thinly, mollejas with is the thymus gland of a calf taken as food in Argentina and so forth. Dress codes also vary. Amongst the Koreans we have jeogori chima, paji.

With the advent of the internet virtually anything is possible. There are expat communities that assist new expartriate families. This could help those who find it hard to make new friends in their host country. They provide a lot of social networking .There also thousands of ebooks that are sold online that can get anyone who is stiuck on track. For instance in the category of finances you can get information on how to make money as an Expat Wife example is the Home business for expat wives available at www.HomebusinessFor ExpatWives.com or on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008BXBES0  learn how to reduce your tax liability legally, whether it is appropriate to bank offshore or onshore, avoiding annuity buying while saving for retirement, choosing the best interest rates.

It is important to equip yourself with some tips before proceeding for the move. Firstly you should be psychologically prepared for a culture shock  since it is going to be a new terrain, secondly,  you should know that this is not just geographical move but a mind shift from your comfort zone.  Thirdly be sure that you have some resources in cash for emergency or unexpected expenses as a cash point might not be readily available like in your home country.

Be open minded and flexible see your move as an adventure so that you can adjust quickly to your new home

Do your research on the country, their custom, traditions, tourist sites, educational system in case you have young children, the medical facilities available and if possible buy off the shelf drugs like flu tablets, pain relievers and if your host country is in the tropics find out about malaria drugs.

Follow these tips as an expat wife and you will be able able to settle into your new home and host country very fast.

HOW EXPAT WIVES CAN LOSE (Belly) FAT WITHOUT TRYING

July 7, 2012

LOSING (Belly) FAT WITHOUT TRYING for Expat Wives

Fat loss can be easy and stress free if you follow these simple tips

Drink plenty of fresh, clean water.  The recommended daily intake of water is 8 glasses. Water helps to flush out toxins and waste products from the body, prevents dehydration, cushions the bones, speeds up all processes of the body and boosts immune infection. !  Nearly every chemical process place in your body, takes place in water!  Proper blood flow and digestion are both affected by how much water you drink, taking a glass of water before meals and another during meals helps to give the feeling of being full so you eat less. And no, soda, juice, coffee, and tea DON’T count as part of your fresh water intake.

Stabilize your blood sugar!  If you want to burn fat and prevent your body from putting it back on, you must stabilize your blood sugar.  In order to do this you need to eat small, balanced meals or snacks every 2-3 hours. Avoid fizzy drinks, candy, unhealthy fats, chips cookies, coffee and juices very high in sugar, salt loaded foods and white flour products. Stock up on healthy snacks like almonds, protein bar, raw vegetables, like carrots, broccoli,

Never skip breakfast, or any meal!  If you want to maximize your fat-loss efforts you’ve got to eat breakfast!  So many people skip breakfast, and it’s the worst thing you could ever do when it comes to fat-loss.  Skipping meals throws your blood sugar all out of whack and it sets you up to store your next meal as fat, almost guaranteed!  Fasting, skipping meals, and overly restrictive diets will enable you to lose weight – in the short run.  The weight you lose is primarily water weight and muscle tissue, and in the long run has opposite effect of what you want.  When you restrict your diet, your body instinctively thinks it’s being starved and shifts into a protective mode by slowing down the metabolism and storing nearly all calories as body fat.  Plus, losing muscle tissue is the last thing you want to do.  Muscle burns calories, even while you sleep.  You should be focused on increasing, or at least maintaining muscle tissue

Operate the Carb curfew Do not eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes after 5pm. You may eat carbs for breakfast and lunch. Your evening meal should focus on a selection of lean protein, vegetables, fruits and a small amount of essential fat

Trim, Skim and scrape Always trim as much fat as possible from meat before and after cooking e g removing skin from chicken, Use non fat or low fat dairy products

Increase fibre when you eat fibre rich foods, You will find yourself full sooner This feeling of fullness will last a long time. Fibre rich foods is also associated with better digestion.

Eat smaller more frequent meals Your metabolism is boosted every time you eat and your body can process more efficiently smaller meals. Instead of having 3 large meals in a day, try to break them up into 5-6 smaller meals.

Eat more Protein Your body burns more calories processing protein than either carbohydrates or fats. Protein helps to build and support your muscle tissue which burns calories all day long and even when sleeping. Sources of protein include fish, lean meat, low fat dairy products, beans, soy products, chicken, eggs etc

Drink your food 3 ways by juicing, soups or taking liquid meal replacement – in place of one or more of your regular meals can be an effective way to help you feel full and optimise your nutrient intake yet keep your calories down.

Minerals Calcium and other minerals are your “secret weapons” against body fat. They are found in low dairy products, green vegetables, nuts seeds, bran cereals, etc Get out into the sunshine at least 20mins per day, the vitamin D you get from sunshine works with calcium for health and body fat control

Order small portions in restaurant and wait 15mins between servings Your brain takes at least 20 minutes to register that you are full. By waiting in between servings you’ll give your brain a chance to realise that you don’t need any more food.

Reduce Stress It produces adverse fat-producing chemistry in your body. Try warm baths, meditation, deep breathing, stretching, massage, prayer and rest.

Cut back or eliminate alcohol It is high in non-filling calories and adds to fat especially in the middle session of the body which is the most difficult part to lose

Move You must exercise to build lean tissue that burns fat. Find creative and fun  ways of exercising e.g. Brisk Walking or Jogging 30mins a day, run up the stairs two stairs at a time and come back at a normal pace (your recovery time) then do 15-20 squats ( slow 90 degrees knee bends) at the bottom of the stairs. Swimming helps in tightening the body, Dancing is recommended as an avenue for fitness, Bicycling exercises the body and builds a stronger cardiovascular system, Tennis or Golf are not only fun spots but also a great way to exercise and interact, VCR/DVD can be used to watch workout tapes for working out 15mins a day, Gym membership or Personal Trainer might be the way to go for people needing inspiration, competitiveness and encouragement.By following this tips, and taking care of your body through good health habits you will lose fat and live a happier, better and longer life.

Expat Wife - Easy and Fun ways to Incorporate Fitness into busy Schedules

July 7, 2012

Easy and Fun ways to Incorporate Fitness into busy Schedules for Expat Wives

If you have a sitting job, stand up and stretch yourself every half an hour. Most of the jobs today are indeed sitting jobs that are in one word sedentary. This is especially true for those who sit and punch away at the keyboard or toy with the mouse all day long. While making telephone calls try walking up and down

Use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you can. Instead of waddling up and down the staircase, try taking them two at a time. Now this is something that you have to be careful about because we do not want you to trip. So when you do this make sure that your feet are well and truly planted on each step before you increase the beat and try two at a time.

Any distance is walkable if you have the time, so consider walking to places that you would normally drive (such as work or the market if they're not too far away). It may take you longer, but the health benefits will last you a lifetime. Get down at a block before your destination and walk the rest of the way. You might not have time to fit in long walks in your busy schedule so this is one way of ensuring that you at least get to walk for a little bit every day. If you take the bus or the subway, get down at an earlier station and see if you can walk the rest of the way. If you drive to work, see if you can get space in a parking lot that is a little away from your office.

When nobody is watching try doing pelvic gyrations. If  you take a moment to observe it you will see that it is the mid section of our body that gets the least bit of exercise and that is probably why the signs of weight gain are mostly seen there. It is the same reason why we find it very difficult to lose weight in that section. So the best thing that you can do is consciously try to give that part a little bit of exercise.

Stomach crunches might be too strenuous an exercise to start off with but gyrations are relatively mild. Pelvic gyrations make you thrust your midsection towards all directions and this is the best way of tightening every muscle in that mid section and that is of course what weight loss is all about. Turn on music and dance like wild. Let your hair down once in a while. Go back to the days of wild child hood

Tuck in your tummy whenever you walk. Get that proper gait. And the best way for that is to tuck in your tummy and inflate your chest. Do not let your tummy hang above your belt line like some unruly layer of flesh. Bring it under the belt. Each time you tuck in your tummy, you will feel the pressure on the muscles of your stomach. This tightening and loosening of these muscles is even better than stomach crunches.

Try breathing exercises. You might be surprised to know that breathing exercises too can lead to weight loss. If you are doing the breathing exercises properly, you will find that you can exert a lot of pressure on the muscles around the mid section. You can feel a tightening of these muscles each time you breathe in or breathe out. So go ahead and breathe properly, it is good for you.

Breathe in air as strongly as you can and as you do so, tuck in your tummy as much as you can. Hold it like this for a few seconds (count to 20) and then slowly release your breath taking care not to let out your tummy. Try to keep breathing like this at least fifty or sixty times in a day.

Try massaging your partner. This is a fun way to lose weight. It is something that can give your partner a lot of pleasure and at the same time can give you a lot of exertion there by leading to weight loss. The attitude over here should of course be you scratch my back I will scratch yours. It should not be a one sided effort or else the interest will soon dwindle. In fact it is a good idea if couple take up weight loss routines together. They can keep watch over each other, help control those urges to eat and motivate each other to stick to the routine.

If you can't think of any thing else to do try punching your pillow. Now here's another one of those weird ideas but believe me it works. Not too many of us have punching bags at home and if you have really fluffy pillow giving it a good punching routine is just as good as anything else. This is also a nice way of letting off steam so go for it. After all something is better than nothing.

Do not slouch in your chair but try to maintain an erect posture with your tummy tucked in. Slouching is a very bad habit. Not only is it bad for your back but it also gives you a very flabby figure. It is your way of saying yes to a comfortable, weight-gaining pose. Make it a point to always sit as erect as you can. It is also a terrific way to ward off back problems

Expat Wife: How to Step up to your Profile as an Expat Wife

July 7, 2012

Expat Wife: How to Step up to your Profile as an Expat Wife

Although the world is increasingly becoming a global village and more companies do not have to send their employees overseas, there are those who still get to work away from their home country. As an Expat wife you will find that this move will necessitate reinvention of yourself. You will need a new profile of yourself to suit the circumstances or you will suit the circumstances to your profile. The latter is more often harder to work out.

When the euphoria is over and the excitement has cooled down, you face the facts and you realize vacation is over! As an Expat wife, you need to face the reality and accept the change. Moving to a new country will affect your life, as you have to deal with new situations. The ability to adapt is essential, as you are the one who is going to fit in your new world and not the other way round. Acknowledge the change and work at coping with it.

With acceptance, comes taking charge of your life next in line. Consider your options or discover the new opportunities that life has to offer. In most cases, your Visa may afford you with employment or work rights in your host country. It is always prudent to consult with a legal professional on the legal rights available to you. This should not be limited to just to work, but extend your knowledge to property, divorce, custody of children, women's and children's rights and other laws that considerably differ with your home country.

You may find that although your visa allows, your professional qualifications lock you out from following up with your career. You should not take this too hard as the internet offers endless opportunity. This applies also to those who prefer not taking any formal employment in the host country.

Review of Home Business For Expat Wives

Home Business For Expat Wives: Building a Successful Home Business Even While Living Overseas - A complete guide for expatriate wives to starting and growing a successful home-based business by Bibi Apampa is a book described well by its title.

The book is meant for those who are required to travel frequently but may be struggling to find something that they can do to occupy their time and to provide for their families. It can be a fantastic way to stay grounded even as you’re constantly uprooted. The book can also really appeal to those who are raising children at home and want something to do to keep them engaged in the workforce even while there’s an infant at home. Don’t be fooled by the title though, this book can also be used by men and women who are stuck at home due to a disability, lack of transportation, or those who may just be looking to expand their incomes.

There are dozens of different ideas for working from home formatted in an easy-to-follow manner. First, the author describes the job itself briefly. Then, there’s a discussion of qualifications and generally what is needed in order to perform the functions of the job. It gives the reader a clear sense of whether the job is fitting and appealing for their own set of circumstances.

Overall, I think this book is presented in a very clear and easy-to-understand fashion. The author provides a lot of different options to people who are looking to work while expatriated, not to mention many other types of people who are dependent on virtual work. For readers who find a job that they are quite interested in, there is a list of resources through which readers can get more information on each of the roles as well as places where the reader can immediately go to find work in the specified field. I liked that there are tips for doing each of the job and finding work in each of the fields listed. It will make the reader feel like there are a lot of different options for working remotely. Those who are interested in learning about the various options they have may find this book to be a great reference tool.

About the Book: Working from home can be a great way to keep the money flowing in even while you are living overseas. Life as an expatriate wife can get boring and lonely, and finding your own special niche from which to make money not only gives you income, but also allows you to make some contacts while you are living in a foreign country.

Building A Successful Home Business compiles a list of 19 legitimate ways you can make money from home even while living overseas. Each of these fulfills the needs of the expatriate family and is completely portable should you need to move again, simply pack up your supplies and take them with you. While the licensure and business requirements in each location are going to vary, you have a tremendous amount of portability with a home-based business that does not have a fixed physical infrastructure. Some of these ways require training that you will need to pay for, while others require a set of skills that you may need to perfect or begin developing.
